Our grants and scholarships are for you.
The Presbyterian Development Society invests in two areas:
1) the ongoing education of Presbyterians and
2) enhancing the financial resilience of Presbyterian churches and organisations.
Explore below how we might support you or your community.
Committed to the ongoing education of Presbyterians through targeted scholarships relating to ministry formation, higher education, and professional development.
Our “Faith Seeking Understanding” scholarships are open to all Presbyterians and are designed for non-ordained people looking to do some theological training or ministry formation. It is also open to employees in Presbyterian Churches looking to do professional development.
Our “Foundation Study” scholarship is for people looking to become ordained ministers and needing to complete theological study first.
Our “Diverse Ministry Educator” scholarship is for ordained ministers exploring higher education (Masters of Doctoral level).
Enhancing the financial resilience of Presbyterian churches and organisations, while also supporting their ministry and mission.
Many churches and groups within the Presbyterian Church are facing the dual challenge of rising costs and stagnating or declining income. Our “Community Development” grants are designed to provide seed funding for generating long-term financial resilience while also furthering the mission of the Church.
